I believe that they are including a complete crank as well as exhaust system as well. It has won numerous major UAS Karting events. Anyone have more info on this? First ride blew everyone away.
BRC: KTM has not been contacted nor have they contacted me. It has won titles all over the world and has been in a custom motorcycle on TLC’s Biker Build-Off show where Roger Goldammer set a world Record that still stands today. We have been gear heads all our lives with Carter becoming a Mechanical Engineer and myself as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist due to our exposure to mechanical devices at a young age. I guess a 250SX is almost 50hp stock so a jump to 70 isn't quite as drastic of a change, but it would still be in the back of my mind.
The only KTM production parts that go into the BRC engine are the transmission, ignition, kickstarter and clutch and ignition covers. Traction will be down to the riders wrist and fitness level.
Just wondering... How many are building a BRC 500 for this season? Given that Riley Will didn’t like the Honda CR500 powerband in his aluminum-framed CR500AF, we can fully understand why he wanted to make a 500cc engine that was easy to ride with a broad and manageable Riley: We are working with David McCarthy of Two Stroke Performance in Australia for bolt on EFI.
BRC can’t keep its engine kits in stock. Another question is who is going to make the pipe. This motor is also counterbalanced. Morgan: What are some of the difficulties that you have faced during this project and were there any particular constraints that you faced with redeveloping the KTM powerplant?
