Daulton rose to fame representing the nation of Myanmar in the groundbreaking 1994 legal case, United States v. Richard Diran and The Union of Myanmar, successfully recovering a 1,000-year-old Buddha statue that had been stolen in 1988 from a temple in Myanmar's ancient capital, Bagan, a treasure now on display in the National Museum in Yangon.
Patricia Berger, Professor Emerita of Chinese Art, received her Ph.D. in the History of Art in 1980 from the University of California, Berkeley. Gene Smith Book Prize on Inner Asia given by the China and Inner Asian Council. Joanna Williams research interests include both South Asian and Southeast Asian art. Jacob Dalton specializes in Tibetan Buddhism, which is closely related in both history and practice to the Buddhism of Mongolia.
