The Imperials only wanted to keep Tamriel at peace. He himself claims the empire is getting old, as well as its legions.
What faction do you go with and why?

So sure, you may be wondering which is the best to choose and what are the differences? This doesn’t make the Stormcloaks ideal or negate their racism in any way, shape, or form, but I see lots of tendencies to ignore the Empire’s racism just because they aren’t Stormcloaks. The story varies a bit depending on your source, but within most rumors are embedded a grain of truth. The Thalmor aren’t particularly nice, so this is something to be aware of before choosing.
All rights reserved. If you struggle with bending your moral compass this may be an issue. Plus, the Empire was made the way it was by Talos (aka, Tiber Septim, Ysmir, etc) after the second era, so that counts for something. Plus, the Empire was made the way it was. You don’t really have a good option. Empire because it’s better and not racist.
But first the VIRUS must die, and STORMCLOAK is the cure. Gamewise it really makes no difference. The Stormcloaks might be nationalistic and a bit racist, but the Aldmeri make them look like champions of equality.
The main idea of the Stormcloaks is that they want to have Skyrim back under the control of the Nords. They are a result of a weak, lazy empire.
It’s probably good not to side with those who tried to kill you for nothing. Stormcloaks have as opposed to imperials female guards.
Which is better or which is not better ? I'd say Stormcloaks, just because the Empire wanted to kill you at the beginning. A few rogue Jarls would've proven no impediment to the pre-war Empire, and they would've found themselves swiftly crushed by its disciplined and well-trained armies. No idea if the imperial side is big free though. This usually means the rewards at the end of quests aren’t as good either. A huge part of Skyrim is deciding whether you join the Stormcloaks and support the rebellion led by Ulfric, or the Imperials and fight on behalf of the Empire. If they hadn’t signed it they most likely would have lost the war. Stormcloak. I always go as neutral as possible during Season Unending.
If the Empire does suppress the Rebellion, the Thalmor will weaken Skyrim and ultimately leave it defenseless against them when the Empire runs off to Cyrodiil(which they will).
Just pick the side your character would pick, Depending on side you either have to defend a castle or attack a castle.
the stormcloaks are egotistical racists and their only compelling case is that it is illegal to follow their god. Personaly I joined the stormcloaks because of the quests of invading the citys like whiterun and solitude but if you join the imperial leigon you only raid windhelm. For example, try not to need the Khajiit much, it’ll be considerably harder to get their help as an Imperial. Had to replay so many missions and stuff because it wouldn't start or people wouldn't be at the location or something.
Thalmor are hoping Stormcloaks fuck shit up. So if you’re a fan of Whiterun, don’t pick Stormcloaks. He suggested change, even if it isn’t pretty. He started the empire, and even he realizes it needs the boot; that was over 200 years ago. I back the Stormcloaks because nobody has the right to tell people of another country how to run their country or who to worship.
Stormcloaks are more in your face about it, but the Empire is built on cultural supremacy and imperialism (see: title).
The Thalmor involvement in its affairs does complicate matters, but it could be argued that betraying the Empire is, in its own sort of way, betraying Talos himself. Tulius cries when captured vs Ulfric who takes his death bravely. Admittedly, most of these are based on the lore and what you feel morally obligated to do, but that’s because it doesn’t massively affect any of the in-game experience. This Call of Duty Warzone Texture Glitch is leaving streamers, pro players, and cod fans furious! From what ive been researching, to not spoil things Ill just say you get the best dragon shout IMO when you finish the stormcloak line.
Ulfric Stormcloak certainly cuts a dashing figure as a romanticized freedom fighter, but the means by which he came to power raises a few questions concerning his true character. Racist. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. The Empire work to keep Skyrim civil and protect its people but have made unfair decisions for the Nords (banning of Talos). Even if the Empire restores order in Skyrim, it'll be a tenuous peace at best. Well you either get no racism but not religious freedom or lots of racism and religious freedom, that’s how I can put it simply anyway.
Siding Imperial puts Maven Black-Brair on the throne in Riften.
The Thalmor are a militant party that overtook Summerset. As it is, the Empire can barely afford to hold them at bay.
Imperial or Stormcloak?
So don’t feel too pressured on which to pick. Okay, here's the skinny.
They were unfortunately forced to abolish the worship of Talos in the process.
Plus, the Empire was made the way it was by Talos (aka, Tiber Septim, Ysmir, etc) after the second era, so that counts for something.
If the Stormcloaks had their way, they would've fought the Aldmeri to a point that assured their own destruction. Here’s everything we know. I really can't decide, both are appealing. It was clearly inspired by the Roman Empire and British Empire, both of which were extremely racist and very abusive towards their colonies. If you side with the Empire, all you have to do is finish the civil war questline.
Here we take you through our Stormcloaks or Imperials pros and cons! It's not like the Stormcloaks are all bad, it's really a mixed bag with both. Easily Beat the Bandit Leader in Kingdom Come Deliverance, How To Get All The Costumes In Costume Quest 2, How To Get The True Ending In The Dark Pictures: Little Hope, How to Prepare for Zhongli in Genshin Impact Patch 1.1, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time – What We Know So Far, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 4 and CoD: Mobile Season 7 have been postponed. After having their right to religion and true culture taken away, siding with those looking to reestablish that could certainly help your chances of getting to Sovngarde (Nordic afterlife). A huge part of Skyrim is deciding whether you join the Stormcloaks and support the rebellion led by Ulfric, or the Imperials and fight on behalf of the Empire. Makes no odds either way. You get lots of racism either way, just in different forms. They are both flawed factions... just go with the one you prefer the most. Horrible Call of Duty Warzone Texture Glitch is Leaving Players Furious.
If Aldmeri's leash on Imperial affairs and the White-Gold Concordat weren't enough evidence, their history of warring with and dominating what they consider to be "lesser" races of Tamriel (including the Imperials themselves) should do the trick.
Covering the hottest movie and TV topics that fans want. The White-Gold Concordat, while clearly devised to further divide the Empire, was a necessary evil to ensure its continued existence.
Who do you usually side with and why?
Don't mean there crumbling. According to the rebels, the Empire is corrupted by the Aldmeri Dominion and is therefore a threat to the Nordic way of life. Acceptance of the treaty, at the very least, gives them time to consolidate and rebuild their forces to a point where they could successfully resist further incursions. I have yet to choose a side but I am already plannng on siding with the Empire. The Empire does kiss too much elf ass, but only because it became a necessity to end the war and they're not strong enough to fight back again (yet). I tend to option 3: eradicate them all.
The Empire isn't perfect nor is the Stormcloaks. If they force everyone but Nords out and become independent from the empire, they're that much easier for the Thalmor to conquer. The stormcloaks are rebels. KNEEL! many other nords) only want Skyrim for the Nords and Nords only.
This includes the outlawing of Talos Worship. If you choose to play as a Nord or Redguard, you would most likely want to join the Stormcloaks, but if you choose to be an Imperial or Altmer, then you would most likely want to play for the Imperials instead. Both are racist. In contrast to the Stormcloaks, the Empire consists of cranially challenged lobotomized megalomaniacal half-wits who commit genocide and slaughter anyone who gets in their way. Thalmor are hoping Stormcloaks fuck shit up, Shithole of a capital city that used to be glorious (indicative of Ulfric being a bad ruler). A one-stop shop for all things video games. Yeah, I was thinking probably the Empire this time.
Skyrim who should i join stormcloaks or empire?
The Stormcloaks gets a lot of hate for being racist to the Dunmer, yet the Dunmer doesn't get any hate for being racist to the Argonians.
Do we still criticize Christians for the crusades for example? Even then, they're only able to contain this rebellion due to the talents of General Tullius.
They enslaved Argonians for centuries... so by the very least the Stormcloaks are not as bad as them. Just don't expect them to give a tossed pie about the state you'll be living in once the war's over. The empire is crumbling. Put simply, Skyrim has fought, bled, and generally been a part of the Empire for hundreds of years.
None can deny this, the Great War was the perfect example of their incompetence! Count me in. I prefer what I assume to be the "canon" ending. In the state that Skyrim is in when you enter the game, the Imperials are those currently running the Empire.
